I am a genuinely nice guy with a bit of an edge. I am intelligent, passionate, honest (but tactfully so), curious, funny (I hope), modest (believe it or not), and empathetic. I feel emotions deeply, and I smile and laugh often (including at myself). I am warm, playful, and affectionate (which makes me sound like a dog). I am particularly drawn to people with character and depth, who are much more than they appear on the surface (which, not coincidentally, is how I describe myself). I am a one-woman man, and being with the woman I love and my family are the best and most important parts of my life.

I am looking for a woman who will be herself, a girl next door (with spice) who does not try to be someone or something she is not. She is intelligent, attractive, passionate, and romantic. She is most comfortable wearing jeans, a sweater, and no makeup, even if she enjoys getting dressed up. She is honest, emotionally available, communicates effectively, and is open and vulnerable in the right circumstances. She is warm, giving, and loves to touch and be touched. Her actions back up her words. She shares my desire to build and maintain a partnership of equals who are best friends as well as lovers and who are the main priority in each other’s lives, can be who we are (even when it may be uncomfortable), and inspire and support each other to be even better.
