That's me!" without hesitation, or pause, then let's connect. You must unequivocally hit each and every one of those attributes enumerated above, not just one or two. Absent that, I wish you well and a happy life. Oh, it sends me into the stratosphere if you love animals, especially dogs. God sent them without wings so we wouldn't know they are angels.

News flash! I can usually tell when someone’s using ChatGPT, Gemini, Copilot, Claude, or Perplexity. In short, AI.

Some of the letters I receive are beautiful — graceful, poetic, even moving. But there’s a certain feeling that’s missing… something human. They read too perfectly, as if the words were carved by a machine, not felt by a soul. Some of you out there (to include the translators) are acting like you wrote that masterpiece “letter” on emotional intelligence, attraction and love. You didn’t. ChatGPT, or some other AI did.

I can always tell when it’s real. Real words breathe. They tremble a little. They’re imperfect and alive.

Here are the dead giveaways:

It reads like a Ukie Style, Etsy or Hallmark card written by a robot. I see the same phrases repeated, the same “Let me change your life,” the same polished words about 'how you will' "rock my world like no other…” They’re clean, yes, but also bloodless.

What I miss in those words is the sound of someone’s heartbeat — the tiny flaws, the humor, the hesitations, the warmth of truth. Real people ramble. They make mistakes. They say too much or not enough. That’s what makes a letter worth reading. That’s what makes you worth knowing.

Even the endings tell the story. “Am I that woman for you Dear Steve? What are your thoughts?” My thoughts are always the same — I wish you had written it yourself.

Don’t misunderstand me. I use ChatGPT too (mostly for work), and it can be a wonderful tool. But when you let it speak for you, it begins to smooth away the edges that make you beautiful — your scars, your laughter, your raw, unfiltered voice.

Write with your heart, even if it’s clumsy. Let your soul peek through the cracks. Add your humor, your grit, your screw-ups, your flaws. That’s what touches me — not perfection, but sincerity. That’s what I connect with. Not polished, generic perfection.

And if English isn’t your first language, I understand completely. Sometimes translators rely on AI, and that’s not your fault. Just try to make sure it still feels like you. Because even through translation, the heart has its own accent — and it’s that accent I want to hear.

Nota Bene: Please don’t take my words as cynicism. I’m simply looking for something real — for someone real. Someone whose letters might not be perfect, but whose warmth and honesty I can feel between the lines. Also know, if we do communicate, letter #2 from you should have an attached photo. Not the Photoshop, flawless professional perfection, but a depiction of you…in your bathrobe with your hair down and messy, in your home/apartment and in the kitchen without layers of makeup. It doesn't matter just so long as it's the real YOU!

The truth is, I’m not searching for polished words, or runway models. I’m searching for the person who writes from the quiet, imperfect corners of their heart — the kind of heart no machine could ever imitate. Thank you, most sincerely, in advance for your kindest and thoughtful consideration.
